How to improve the head of a self priming pump? Here, the editor introduces these four methods for you.
1. The bottom valve installed at the bottom of the water tank in the inlet pipeline of the self suction pump can increase the suction head by about 1 meter. The purpose of installing the bottom valve is to prevent water from flowing back in the suction pipeline and reduce the backflow of water in the pipeline during the self suction process of the unsealed self suction pump under the influence of atmospheric pressure, which affects the self suction performance of the self suction pump.
2. Reduce the bends, drop height, and horizontal spacing of the inlet pipeline.
3. Install a suction tank in front of the self priming pump, and ensure that the tank is filled with water during the first operation. This can achieve negative pressure in the tank, and the water in the tank can be replenished to the tank under atmospheric pressure.
4. Install a vacuum pump on the suction pipeline of the self priming pump. Before starting, start the vacuum pump to fill the pipeline with water.
If the pipeline cannot be changed, you can try the following three methods:
1. Install a suction tank in front of the self priming pump, and ensure that the tank is filled with water during the first operation. This can achieve negative pressure in the tank, and the water in the tank can be replenished to the tank under atmospheric pressure.
2. Install a vacuum pump on the suction pipeline of the self priming pump. Before starting, start the vacuum pump to fill the pipeline with water.
3. Installing a check valve at the outlet of the self priming pump or a check valve at the bottom of the inlet pipe can not only effectively avoid water loss in the pump body, but also enhance the self priming performance of the pump.
